RQP Studio's wax seal necklaces let's you express yourself with wearable art, or send a message to someone special.
RQP Studio is a small company located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, United States. We mostly work in metal; fine silver, recycled bronze etc.
In our studio we prefer to work with things that are antique, vintage. Our antique wax seals is a perfect example of that. Creating wax seal jewelry using the actual antique seals and intaglios that was used back then... Onehundredandninety years ago. Very inspiring!
We always work hard on retrieving the perfect impression of the seals into the metal. That will make the end result of the jewelry so much better.
RQP Studio has hundreds of different antique wax seals, each with its own motto and symbol. That translates to a lot of different designs to choose from.
Wax seal necklaces and pendants with mottos in many different languages such as French, Latin, German, Spanish, Italian and English.
When you buy a piece of RQP Studio jewelry you'll receive a card that explains the meaning of it. You'll get the motto translation and the meaning of the design.
Many of the seals have a quote above a pictogram, and its symbolic meaning can be traced back to books from the 1600's. Emblem books written for kings and queens, with words and images to inspire, console and to love and behold.
Keepsake jewelry for you and your loved ones, and handcrafted in the United States.
From white to black to polished to perfection. The work of finishing a fine silver piece takes time and many production steps until it's completed, finished and ready to be shipped out to you.
RQP Studio makes everything from scratch - handmade even down to the unique packaging.
In our studio in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, we enjoy working with the antique seals as tools for creating these little pieces of art.
Polishing off some of the blackened oxidation patina on the fine silver charms really brings out the look of the design, don't you agree?
The old mottos, symbols, quirky and whimsical inscriptions of the wax seal designs still resonates today, some two-three hundred years later.
They are fabulously meaningful, and a great way to celebrate the Present with designs from the Past.
